1. Who We Are
Hazmat Helper is developed and published by Pxlpop LLC. Questions about this policy can be directed to legal@pxlpop.com.
2. What We Collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the app:
- Account information — When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and, optionally, your email address. This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to Pxlpop servers.
- Profile photo — If you choose to add a profile picture, it is stored locally on your device only.
- Lookup history — Recently viewed UN numbers are stored locally on your device to power the “Recent” section on the Home screen. This data never leaves your device.
- Credential expiration dates — If you enter expiration dates for your CDL, Hazmat Endorsement, or DOT medical card, they are stored locally on your device and used only to schedule local renewal reminders. No push notification service or server is involved.
- Purchases — Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details; entitlements are verified on-device via StoreKit.
We do not collect:
- Location data
- Analytics, telemetry, or crash data sent to our servers
- Any images from placard scanning or BOL scanning (all processing is on-device; no images are uploaded)
- Advertising identifiers or tracking data
3. How We Use Your Information
Your name and email are used solely to personalize your session on your device. No personal data is transmitted to Pxlpop LLC or any third-party server by this application.
4. Third-Party Services
- Sign In with Apple — Authentication is handled by Apple’s AuthenticationServices framework, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Face ID / Touch ID — Biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS. Pxlpop LLC never receives, stores, or processes biometric templates.
5. Data Storage and Retention
All data is stored locally on your device using iOS’s standard UserDefaults storage. Deleting the app removes all data associated with Hazmat Helper from your device.
6. Data Security
All sign-in flows use industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption. The app does not operate any backend servers that store your personal information.
7. Children’s Privacy
Hazmat Helper is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
